IPv4 exhaustion created a real market. Two ways to get addresses:
- Leasing from your carrier or data center (the common case): 2–3 €/address/month across our catalog. A /29 block (8 addresses) covers most racks; a /24 (256 addresses) is the minimum announceable in BGP.
- Buying or long-term leasing on the secondary market (with your own AS): a /24 trades around US$30–50 per address to buy, $0.30–0.50/address/month to lease.
Watch block reputation (anti-spam blacklists) and reverse DNS, essential for outbound mail — check who controls the PTRs. IPv6 is generally provided free (a /48 per site): deploy it in parallel from day one.
