Data collected. Three categories, and nothing else:
• What you enter in the forms: first and last name, email address, phone, company, job title, country, and the content of your request.
• Technical browsing data: pages viewed, date and time, inferred country, browser type. Your IP address is never stored in clear text: it is turned into an irreversible fingerprint (salted SHA-256) at the moment of recording, which allows visits to be counted without being traced back to a person.
• Account data, if you create one: sign-in identifiers, a password fingerprint (never the password itself), and the history of your requests.
Purposes: answering your requests (quotes, introductions, listing, information updates), managing your account, measuring site audience in aggregate form, and funding the service through advertising.
Legal basis: pre-contractual steps and legitimate interest in handling your request and securing the service; consent for advertising cookies and any personalisation.
Retention: 1 year from the last contact for requests; 13 months maximum for audience measurement, in line with CNIL guidance, with automatic purging; for the lifetime of the account for account data, until you ask for its deletion.
Recipients: the site publisher and, when you request an introduction, the provider you selected. Your contact details are passed to a provider only after that step, taken by you. They are never sold, rented or transferred to third parties for marketing purposes.
Processors and third-party services. The site relies on the following services, which may receive your IP address as a result of the connection itself:
• Cloudflare (United States): delivery and protection of the site; all traffic passes through this network.
• Google AdSense (pagead2.googlesyndication.com): ad serving.
• Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com): typefaces.
• ipapi.co: country inference from the IP address, to show you nearby data centres straight away.
• cdnjs (Cloudflare), icons.duckduckgo.com and google.com/s2: technical libraries and site icons.
• Stripe: subscription payments, only if you subscribe. No payment card details pass through or are stored on our servers.
Transfers outside the European Union. Several of these providers are established in the United States. Transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and, for the providers concerned, on their certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Advertising. This site displays ads through Google AdSense.
• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and to other sites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your browsing.
• You may opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings (google.com/settings/ads), and opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu.
• These cookies are set only after your consent, collected through the banner shown on your first visit. You may change that choice at any time.
Cookies and local storage. The site itself sets no cookies, neither for measurement nor for tracking. It does use your browser's local storage to make the service work: your session once signed in, your language, your country, your saved simulations and your choice regarding advertising cookies. This information stays on your device, is not sent to our servers, and you can erase it at any time by clearing the site data in your browser.
Automated decision-making. The site ranks requests by priority using a simple, published rule based on the content of the request. This ranking is an internal convenience: it produces no legal effect and denies no one an answer.
Your rights: access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, portability, and withdrawal of your consent at any time — exercised at contact@datacoloc.com, with a reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
