Paris (France) · Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners (70 %) et Altice France (30 %)
UltraEdge was born in late 2023 from an unusual move: carving SFR's data centers out of the carrier to create an independent colocation company. The result is France's largest network of proximity sites, backed by Morgan Stanley.
In November 2023, Altice France announced the creation of UltraEdge to group SFR's hosting infrastructure, then sold 70% of the capital to Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners at a valuation of about €764m (completed in 2024). The company inherited roughly 250 technical sites across the country, including several dozen marketable data centers.
UltraEdge's strength is not the giant campus but the mesh: sites in most French metropolitan areas, inherited from the carrier's network and therefore natively well connected. The announced plan: about €400m of investment to structure seven regional 'datapoles' by 2028.
Proximity colocation (rack to room), edge computing close to end users, and carrier connections eased by the buildings' telecom origins. The pitch targets regional businesses, integrators and content players who want lower latency without centralising everything in Paris.
To host near your regional sites — Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux, Lille and beyond — UltraEdge is often among the few genuinely local options. Service levels vary between inherited sites: check the specific site's certifications and connectivity on its listing rather than reasoning from the brand alone.

DataColoc lists 13 sites operated by UltraEdge, including 13 in France, comparable on an identical basis (all-in price, connectivity, certifications).
Open the target site's listing above, compare the all-in monthly cost, then send a structured quote request from the listing: it goes directly to the operator.
UltraEdge brings together activities formerly known as: SFR Netcenter, Datacenters SFR, Completel. Sites usually keep their address and teams; only the brand changed.
